Landing Page Vitals

Runs Google PageSpeed Insights against a public URL and reports the two kinds of number it returns without mixing them up: one synthetic load, and — when Google has a sample — your actual visitors.

What this measures
  • Lighthouse performance score, 0–100, from one synthetic load on Google's hardware.
  • Lab timings: Largest Contentful Paint, Cumulative Layout Shift, server response time, and Total Blocking Time.
  • Real-user Core Web Vitals from Google's CrUX dataset, when your site has enough traffic to appear in it — labelled separately, and marked with which of the three vitals were actually sampled.
What it cannot tell you
  • Lab numbers are one run on a machine that is not your visitor's. Re-running gives a different number; treat a single score as a rough read, not a measurement of your users.
  • Most pre-launch sites have no CrUX sample at all. That shows as 'no real-user data', which is not the same as a good score and is not presented as one.
  • It does not grade your headline, your call to action, your copy or your design. That is what this card used to promise and it was never true.
PageSpeed boots a browser and loads your page, so this takes 10–60 seconds. Google's anonymous quota is shared and often exhausted; when it is, you get told that rather than a stale number.
